I make vintage inspired, practical clothing for women, which I sell on my Etsy shop Fine Frock. My mother taught me to sew when I was a little girl, but I didn't discover my love of making clothing until after college. I have always felt that clothing offered in stores was very limited in the kind of personality it expressed, and I didn't feel like I was able to dress in a way that accurately expressed my personality until I started designing my own garments.

I hope to provide a counterpoint to the styles and personalities that are celebrated in popular culture, and that my clothing helps women to embrace more diverse forms of expression. I love make garments for women that are well-tailored, comfortable, and practical for everyday life. I try to incorporate details from vintage and historical garments into my designs to maintain a connection to history and the long tradition of making clothes by hand. I often work with small floral prints often used in quilting, creating another tie to textiles that have borne witness to women's lives for centuries. I almost exclusively work with woven cotton fabrics, and never use synthetic fibers. I hope that my clothing encourages its wearers to appreciate the moments of quiet sweetness and beauty in their lives.
